Can two people be intimately involved for years and not fall in love ?

RARE but i guess anything is possible. However the reason i say its rare is because intimacy between two people involves opening yourself up and letting yourself be vulnerable with the other person and when that happens feelings are bound to come up. Whether these feelings are true feelings of love or just lust being confused is another question all together but feelings almost always come up.
