My ex is upset knowing another guy and i have been intimate? Could he want me back?

We dated for 10 months, and he was my everything. But he ended it because he 'wasn't in love anymore' and needed to 'find himself'. He acted like he didn't miss me and told his friends he was happy to be living the free, single life. After 2 weeks of no communication, he imed me on facebook and we talked again. We talked on the phone for 2 hours, catching up with eachother--- we were best friends so it was nice to talk again. I told him about my new 'friend' and what we'd done together intimately, only because my ex asked. I knew he met a new girl, so i didn't think he'd mind, after all he was the one who wanted out. But later that night he called me and told me he really did miss me a lot, he loved me and wanted to see me soon, but doesn't think he wants to give things another go. What the hell does this mean? D:
