What are the chances that a guy who is a known cheater in all his relationships would ever be totally faithful?

Everyone wants to believe that the guy they become intimately involved with will remain monogamous but, if a guy has a reputation for being a cheater in his past relationships will he most likely continue to cheat if he gets the opportunity? Is their a possibility that he may find "the one" & never have the desire to cheat on that person or is that a character flaw which is unlikely to change?
