Do you think the Intercontinental and US championships have since become worthless?

The reigning champions Wade Barrett and Kofi Kingston respectively aren't being used to their potential, both are now losing to main-eventers are superstars getting pushes, so are they there just to be held ? Kofi Kingston has been pushed for years after winning IC after IC to become a world championship yet he's gone no where. So are these titles just worthless ?
