My newborn has acid reflux. What can I do to help him?

My baby is 3 weeks old and has been spitting up and vomiting a lot. His doctor says he has acid reflux and gave me a prescription for him. I hate the idea of giving him a prescription med this young. He also recommended Enfamil AR formula, but I would like to exclusively breastfeed only. I have given him the formula for a feeding or two and it seems to help a little. I have also been giving him Colic Calm which helps him sleep when he gets fussy. Is there anything else I can do to help him? And will he outgrow this soon?
